The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy & The Delta G.E.M.S.: Growing & Empowering Myself Successfully are programs that provide learning opportunities for young ladies ages 11-14 years old
(Delta Academy) and ages 14-18 years old (Delta G.E.M.S) to develop into successful leaders in their schools and their local communities.
Participants must live or attend schools in Newton or Walton Counties, the service area of the Covington Area Alumnae Chapter.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Atlanta, Ga., is a powerful event designed to raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. When you participate in the Making Strides event, you’re helping create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays – where breast cancer never steals another year from anyone’s life.
The event will kick off with a ceremony on Atlantic Green. Registration begins at 7am, and the walk starts at 9am.
